WEDDING FUNCTION TIP
Fun & Entertaining Reception Games to Incorporate at Your Wedding
So you are officially married and now it’s time to partayyyy! Receptions are filled with cake cutting, first dances, and the open dance floor. If you are wanting to incorporate more into your reception here are some fun ideas fostering unique memories for you and your guests.
Tried and True: Shoe game
Most couples choose to play the shoe game during a lull in the dinner service. It's most commonly played right after speeches or just after the cake cutting, when all eyes are still on the couple of the hour. This game allows your guests to get to know your partner and the fun quirks that you love about them.
Kids Table
Setting up a kids table with candy, games, and sparkling grape juice so they can participate in toasts is an easy way to entertain them allowing everyone to stay at the reception longer. This wedding had Lego flower bouquets, jars of candy, and sparkling grape juice.
Scavenger hunt
Wedding scavenger hunts are a fun way for all your guests to be involved and break the ice between strangers. Bonus scavenger item: have the last thing on the list that wins the game be the total dollar amount collected to help fund your honeymoon. (this can be done with cash and Venmo for anyone who doesn’t carry cash on them–no excuses!)
All the bars
Different types of bars to serve all the different cravings throughout the night. S’mores bar and campfire, hot chocolate bar, coffee bar, alcohol bar.
Sparkler exit
